Xueping Li, PhD

Professor

Biography

Xueping Li is a Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Co-Director of the Health Innovation Technology and Simulation (HITS) Lab, and the Director of the Ideation Laboratory (iLab) at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. His research areas include complex system modeling, simulation, and optimization, with broad application in supply chain logistics, healthcare, and energy systems.  

Dr. Li’s research has been sponsored by federal agencies including NSF, NIH, DOE, and HRSA, and a variety of industry partners. He holds 9 creation disclosures with the University of Tennessee Research Foundation. He is a member of IISE, IEEE and INFORMS, and President of the Modeling of Simulation Division of IISE (2019-2020). Dr. Li is a member of UT faculty senate (2020-2023) and a UT One Health Scholar.
