Biography
Dr. Jubaer Ahmed is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research focuses on improving transportation and healthcare systems by integrating human factors and data science. His influential work on emotional intelligence's impact on risky driving behaviors has led to notable road safety improvements, recognized by the United States Department of Transportation. Dr. Ahmed has published his work in reputable journals, including Transportation Research: Part F, Safety Research, Sustainability, and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
Before joining the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Dr. Ahmed served as a postdoctoral researcher at Colorado State University, where he collaborated with renowned researchers in his field at the Human Systems Lab, the Southern Colorado Institute of Transportation Technology, and the Translational Medicine Institute.
