Daniel J. Linehan, PE, PMP, PgMP

Biography

Dan Linehan is currently a lecturer at UTK and a consultant in the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE).  He has worked for over 30 years in private industry as an Engineering Manager, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Program Manager, and within the NSE primarily at Y-12 in Oak Ridge, TN and Pantex in Amarillo, TX in a variety of technical and management roles including as Director of weapons Life Extension Programs and as Senior Director responsible for a $3B annual mission baseline.

Dan has taken this extensive experience and built real-life examples into his lectures to provide students with work-related applications related to requirements management, engineering economy, and systems dynamics modeling.  As a result, students can more readily relate to and apply theory learned in the classroom to their work environments, providing benefits back to their employer and the broader community.

Dan holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from UTK and an MBA also from UTK, as well as several professional certifications and is honored to help the next generation of leaders progress in their careers.
