Dr. Clark Cheng heads the Operations Research department at Norfolk Southern. He manages the development of optimization and simulation models and decision support systems for operations planning and asset management. He was a former chair of Rail Application Section of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). Dr. Cheng received his Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering/operations research from Clemson University and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (中国科学院).
