Support our YNOT Robotics Team

Team YNOT Robotics

UT’s VEX U competitive robotics team, YNOT, formed in the fall of 2017. The team’s mission is two-fold. First, the team provides an opportunity for engineering students across all disciplines to practice the engineering design process first hand. The team now accomplishes this objective with world-class precision at Tickle College of Engineering’s Innovation and Collaboration Studio. The second objective is to increase interest in STEM among students in the Knoxville community through competitive robotics. Over the past two years, UT’s team has been dedicated to mentoring younger teams from around the state. Team YNOT’s goal is to forge relationships with gifted young engineers who will make perfect candidates for the engineering program at UT in the near future. VEX U is a natural progression from middle and high school robotics programs. Kids who excel in this discipline in primary school are very excited about the opportunity to continue their robotics careers at the college level.
