ByerlyPhil Byerly is Vice President, Operations, VF Imagewear-Image Apparel. Based in Nashville, TN, he is responsible for overseeing all Sales & Operations Planning processes and has direct responsibilities for forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management. Byerly has 25 years of experience with both VF and the apparel industry.  His career with VF began in 1989 when he joined Red Kap Industries as an engineer at a cutting and sewing plant in Russellville, KY. He then progressed to hold Plant Engineer roles in KY, TX and OK and Plant Manager roles in MS. He was named Director of Inventory Management, Red Kap Industries in 1996 and Director of Operations, Image Apparel in 1999. He relocated to Tampa, FL in 2003 to allow him to direct planning and allocation for the Licensed Sports division which among other things included printing and distributing official “locker room” tees for Super Bowl, World Series, and Stanley Cup champions. In 2008 he returned to Nashville to be Director of Operations and to assume his current role of Vice President, Operations in 2012. Byerly earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville May ’89.
