Bio:
Dr. Airton Kohls is a Research Associate at the University of Tennessee’s Center for Transportation Research. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee and worked for 10 years in Brazil as a Transportation Engineer before returning to Knoxville and getting his Masters and PhD degrees. Dr. Kohls serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the University of Tennessee Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, teaching Traffic Engineering Operations and is the leading instructor for CTR’s Traffic Signal Academy.
